Sunrise at Everest Base Camp (5,200m)

How difficult is this tour?
Moderate. There is no extended trekking — we drive to Everest Base Camp. The main challenge is altitude (5,200m at EBC). Our itinerary ascends gradually over 5 days to help you acclimatize. If you can walk 2–3 hours at a gentle pace, you can do this tour.
What's the accommodation like at Everest?
Rongbuk Monastery Guesthouse is basic — dormitory-style rooms with shared facilities. It's the highest guesthouse in the world. We provide warm bedding, and you can rent a sleeping bag. The experience of waking up to Everest's north face makes the simplicity worthwhile. Hot tea is available 24/7.
Can I see Everest clearly?
Best visibility is April–June and September–November. May–August has the warmest temperatures but occasional cloud cover. We schedule the EBC visit for early morning (clearest skies) and stay overnight to maximize your chances. Many clients see Everest from the road on Day 5 before they even arrive.
What if the road to EBC is closed?
Landslides or heavy snow can occasionally close the road. If this happens, we have contingency plans: either wait a day (we build buffer into the schedule), take an alternate route, or — in the rare case of extended closure — adjust the itinerary with a full refund for missed portions.
